About

About Me:

Who am I and why do I love to create?

I live with my husband and my two small dogs. We bought a home that allowed me to change a room into my little space. By day, I work at home for an insurance office in the customer service department. I have worked at this job since 2000. I love my job, but I really love to create! After hours, I am a scrapbooking and cardmaking junkie, and I give that credit to my baby sister..

I got a phone call one day begging me to go to a “scrapbook” party. I had no idea what a “scrapbook” party was, and it did not sound interesting at all. “I just need one more body, or she will not do it!” I finally couldn’t resist her. I told her I would go, but I was not buying anything. As she hung up, I heard her say “It will cost you $10, but you get a pair of scissors…”. Grrrrrr.  I knew it would cost me in the long run, but I had no idea. It was just the beginning of my papercraft obsession

With scrapbooking, I have invested a lot of money and time in my memories. I want to remember every moment. Scrapbooking allows the story behind my photos to be told and every memorable detail to be included. Future generations will not be clueless. Physically, I won’t always be here, but with my albums, I will.

I started creating cards one day because I decided to use up my scraps from scrapbooking and turn them into cards. To me, making cards was like a smaller version of scrapbooking.
I have been scrapbooking since the very early 1990s and card-making since 2006. I have an eclectic style when I create. Always looking for something new. Exploring new techniques. Many of these techniques can be used in both my scrapbooking and cardmaking!
